SNES ! Those cassette players lmao OMG touch screen PDA in 1993 ! lol THOSE VRCS SNES was way more popular than the Genesis in Japan. Whilst the Sega Genesis was a big hit in the US, Europe, and Brazil, it wasn't that popular in its native Japan. In fact, the biggest competitor to the SNES in Japan wasn't the Genesis, but rather the Turbografx-16, known there as the PC Engine. Here, the Turbografx-16 only ever got a cult following whereas in Japan, it was a legitimate big deal.

The Sega marketing in American (until late 94) was unreal, they steam rolled thru everyone, Sega was seen as the "apple" or cool product of the time
