Inspired by the "How different would it be if you were born 10 years later?" thread. How different would your life be if you were born 10 years earlier?
If I was born in March 1989: * My earliest memories would have been in 1991. * I would have started school in 1995 and graduated in 2007. * The SNES probably would have been my first console. * I would have been a teenager in the Mid 2000s, which wouldn't be ideal.  Honestly, I would have loved to have been born in the Late '80s. The '90s are my favourite decade for pop culture and it would have been great experiencing my childhood in the decade. It also would have been an interesting time for being a media enthusiast. I can just imagine my 10-year-old self sitting in my bedroom and recording the 1999/2000 NYE coverage onto VHS.

Being born in 1985 and having a Sydney childhood centred around the major decade of change for the city that was the 1990s probably would've been quite interesting.
That said, I still like having current/more recent technology.

That said, I still like having current/more recent technology. That's understandable. To be honest, the technology aspect to it wouldn't really concern me, because I think it would be nice to go back to a time when people weren't so engrossed with smartphones and other mobile phone devices. Although, I probably would miss the social media side of things, such as uploading videos onto YouTube.

I would have been born in August 1982 and most likely would have felt much more attuned to the pop music industry all throughout my adolescence. I probably wouldn't have been quite as obsessed with a computer throughout my childhood, but I definitely would've still fallen in love with the NES and SNES. As a whole, I probably would've been less culturally isolated growing up than I really was as a 1992-born.

If I were born in August 1989:
*If I were born exactly 10 years earlier, it will in fact be on the same day as when Saved By The Bell premiered (August 20, 1989).
*My earliest memory will take place in 1991.
*My childhood would have lasted from about 1992-2000 (depending on your definition of it).
*I would have watched Nickelodeon during its Golden Age (1986-1998).
*My childhood would have peaked in around 1996-1997 (yet again, it all depends on how one defines childhood)
*I will almost certainly remember Princess Diana's death, the impeachment of Bill Clinton, the Columbine shooting, Y2K, and 9/11.
*I would graduate high school in 2007
*I would receive my Bachelor's degree in 2011
*I would be born in the year of the Earth Snake according to the Chinese Zodiac

If I was born 10 years earlier:
* I would be born in 1986
* Earliest childhood would be from 1989
* Started Pre-School in 1990, Kindy in 1991, High School in 1998, Graduated in 2003
* A Sega Genesis would probably be my first game console
