Surprised no one posted this yet: This actually did quite well on the charts (top 20 & 30 in the UK and US respectively). It even made it onto the Billboard year-end for 2013 which was very rare for a rock song featuring a distorted guitar sound back then. That's a full-on pop-rock song so it doesn't really count On a sidenote, you can see the mid-10s Tumblr aesthetic oozing out of that music video... Pastel Colors? ✅ Cake motif? ✅ Adults frolicking? ✅ Happy-go-lucky melody? ✅ On a (second) sidenote, i think the only reason this song was big was because it was made by Paramore, an alternative established and mainstream rock act of the mid-late 00s.

It's funny that they went with a pop-rock backing track, i think this would've been a bigger hit if it was just a normal late 00s electropop song It sounds a lot like Just Dance by lady gaga
