2010s songs that border on rock (but aren't really rock, since rock music wasn't profitable in the 2010s)
What are some songs that fit into this description?
This one is the biggest example i can think of

Very accurate, they spent the entirety of the mid 10s trying to emulate rock music. It's like the rhythm and soul of rock music is there, but the flesh and bones aren't.

Not quasi at all lol but here u go Yeah those aren't "quasi" at all But on a sidenote, i really hate that 2010s rock drum sound on the second song you posted ( i didn't bother listening to the first link you posted, i despise yungblud). It just sounds so cheap and dry, i swear to God 2000s drums sounded different and more "alive" Just compare it to the drums on this Or this 2010s drums just sound so artificial, even when they're real

Yeah, 2010s rock in general kinda sucks. So much of it either sounds like 2000s rock, or like 70s boomer rock.

I think that kind of drum sounds great on metal songs. 2010s was actually an ok decade for metal (and metal music was more popular than rock music in the 2010s). This great metal song makes good use of the 2010s drum sound But on rock songs, or even worse... ON POP/ACOUSTIC SONGS it's nauseating.

Of course, when I think 2010s metal, I think of DJENT more than anything. I mean, of course, it's not like the 80s or 90s or whatever, but there was some good stuff out there. Beartooth is a good band.

I like both but prefer take me to church for being less conventional Bastille reminds me of Coldplay, I guess "Pompeii" would be their "viva la vida". Though they were never as big as Coldplay, but they could have been.

Surprised no one posted this yet:
This actually did quite well on the charts (top 20 & 30 in the UK and US respectively). It even made it onto the Billboard year-end for 2013 which was very rare for a rock song featuring a distorted guitar sound back then.

OP means stuff that barely feels like rock.
