Influencer culture in general is one of the big reasons I find the 2010s to be an incredibly narcisstic decade. It seemed like so many people would just hop on trends or otherwise fish for attention just to get more followers and likes. Remember the "fire challenge"?

People doing stupid (and sometimes downright dangerous) things just because its trendy is another unfortunate part of the decade. Tide pods are probably the worst example.
