I just thought about this but Flash games were still popular in 2012, and there were some websites (particularly kid websites) that still used Flash. Happy Wheels in particular was very popular in 2012, and that was an online Flash game. I’d say 2012-2013 was really the last stretch of Flash games being popular. Ironically, it was a core 2010s trend, let’s play channels, that helped keep Flash games alive during this time. But by 2014, it was all about mobile games and GameJolt as the new platforms for free indie games.

Windows 7 was by far the most popular version of Windows, and there were some people who still used Windows XP, schools especially still used it. Nowadays, both versions have been discontinued. You don’t Windows XP anymore unless somebody’s using it for nostalgia, and there probably are still some schools using 7, but let’s face it, everybody KNOWS how schools tend to be a few years behind the curve when it comes to technology.

Yikes. This type of stuff would be cringe by 2014. It was cringy even back then, but I think it’s hilarious. I don’t know why. so bad it's good 😂
