Anyone noticed a huge uptick in hacker scammers this decade?

Since 2021 i've been seeing scammers constantly. I see a lot of scam ads saying I need to download x software(which contains a virus or spyware or whatever) to protect against viruses. And fraudulent text messages from people pretending to be corporations trying to retrieve my personal information.
