It just doesn't feel as modern as 2017 to me, the cold atmosphere of the 2010s hadn't set yet until after trump was elected (November) so the very last months of 2016

And the first half of 2016 wasn't as weird or sad as the latter half at all

I don't feel like it got any darker or colder atmospherically when trump was elected, then again I don't live in the states.
