From what I see here late 90s/early 2000s minimalism was all about rounded edges, while mid/late 2010s minimalism was obv all about straight rectangles (look at Windows 8) Rounded edges was more of a late 00s thing, no?

Yeah but the late 00s was also not minimalistic in the slightest. I literally have it listed as the LEAST minimalistic era of the 90s/00s/10s. It's literally on par with the 80s aesthetically honestly.
