Big epidemics tend to slow down majorly in Spring and Summer since people are more likely to be outside and buildings are more ventilated. COVID will probably be back to be being an annoying omnipresent force in Fall and Winter. It will be treated like the flu this winter. Last fall/winter hardly anything happened until like mid or late november when mask mandates were put up again but our PM has declared that all lockdowns are done for good so this winter it's very unlikely that we will have a lockdown or mandate again, at least in my region.

i don’t think it’s over yet. covid isn’t even endemic levels and cases are still on the rise as quiet as it’s kept. also covid is still a topic of discussion as it pertains to masks and mandates etc. it may feel like the worst of covid is behind us but we definitely aren’t disconnected from the covid era in 2022 It pretty much is over though. There's flu cases but that doesn't mean the bird flu or swine flu era is still ongoing.
