The 2010s have been defined by a sharp backlash to 2000s maximalism, skeuomorphism, and flashiness, in favor of minimalism and flat design. Whilst 2010-2012 was still mostly skeuomorphic and flashy, and ultimately not much different from the late 2000s, 2013 saw a shift. Windows 8 and iOS 7 showed the new direction tech aesthetics were moving in. In 2014, both macOS and Android also made the shift, so that by late 2014, skeuomorphism was firmly dead. That said, I do think you saw a slight reversal starting in 2017. Whilst still minimalistic, you saw greater usage of gradients and transparent effects not present in 2014-2016. Microsoft introduced the Fluent design language meant as a replacement for the Metro design introduced in 2012, which opted for greater usage of visual effects in contrast to the barrenness of Metro. So IMO, I’d have to say either 2015 or 2016 was peak 2010s minimalism, since you still had skeuomorphism and Frutiger Aero being used for a portion of 2014, even if it was on its last legs. That said, 2016 was the year Instagram, probably the last major holdout in regards to skeuomorphic design, finally changed their logo to a flatter gradient logo. So I’m going to have to personally go for 2016 as the most minimalistic year of the 2010s, in much the same way 2007 was the flashiest and most skeuomorphic year of the 2000s.

2015 seems minimalistic looking back on it. Not just in terms of graphics designs but in general like music was pretty straightforward and bland. If we're going purely by logo design then idk. Any year after 2014 I guess.

2018 for sure, for aesthetics + music I'm not sure about music, I don't really keep track of how different 2010s music sounds and how minimalistic it is or whatever. It was definitely NOT 2011 though

It was definitely NOT 2011 though I never said 2011 I know, I just wanted to point out that if we are discussing minimalism in 2010s music, we might as well bring up the opposite for context. 2011 is probably the least minimalistic year of the 2010s for music (aesthetically, it would be 2010).

We know it can't be 2015 onwards since that's when VR really started to pop off. And 2013 still had a skeuo holdover in iOS (iOS 13 didn't come out until late 2013, Apple was very late to the game).
So the answer is 2014.

So the answer is 2014. I always thought 2016 was the year VR and AR took off. That was the year the Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, and PlayStation VR all were released and Pokémon Go came out. And 2014 still had some skeuomorphism remanents on operating systems like Mac OS and Android for most of the year. 2015 had none. So either 2015 or 2016 would be the most minimalistic year. I think 2017 in fact was more minimalistic than 2014 due to lack of skeuomorphism.
