everything felt fresh and exciting to me because that’s when most of the incoming 2010s trends started to blow up. Plus it was a nice year for me personally

Feels like everyone hates 2016. Classic year for rap, so many new rappers blowing up. Kodak Black, Lil Uzi Vert and 21 Savage are still poppin' today.
Trump was a joke until November and he wasn't even in office till 2017, so people need to stop blaming 2016 lol.

I think it's mostly because of the mood just seemed like it changed as soon as he got elected, it's strange but the atmosphere took on a strange vibe.

Kinda like blaming COVID on 2019 just cause it started then.
