I’ll go first, for the 2000s. An attention seeker obsessed with being on the camera, why ? Because it was the height of reality T.V and paparazzi blogs.

TBH this was a thing in the 2000s as well (Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashian), but yeah the 2010s certainly hasn't helped this trend.

Oh yeah, influencer culture is definitely something new to the 2010s. If I had to describe the vibe of the 2010s, it would be that of somebody who REALLY cares about his image and how he's perceived by others. He wants to post good-looking pictures, he takes care not to say anything controversial and offensive, and he follows trends that are popular online. The 2000s were the opposite. It was an individualistic decade where people didn't really give a shit about what others thought about them. LiveJournal, Xanga, and MySpace were very individualistic platforms. Sure trends existed, but people focused more on introspection than narcissism. Newgrounds was all about what people wanted to create rather than what the masses wanted (and early YouTube was like this as well before the algorithm change). Groupthink mentalities as far as politics are concerned weren't prominent. Most people either didn't care about politics, or were libertarians who hated censorship. The 2010s are about collectivism. Whether that's in the form of identity politics, or in the form of fandoms.

I feel like the 2010s were more attention seeking in general because the opportunities technology gave us

Yeah which is ironic because the 2000s atleast made it stylish where as in the 2010s the minimalist aesthetic didn't fit the vibe
