2010 (this year was post-MySpace, and post-emo/scene, but pre-hipster, and also didn't have the fun quirkiness of 2011. 2009 was also kinda lame, but 2010 in retrospect didn't have much personality, despite literally being my favorite year of the decade...which is not a good sign) 2017 (post-Vine, pre-TikTok) 2020 (COVID, obviously)

Also trumps first full year so it felt fresh. 2020 I 100% agree. That was when the monoculture died off and it hasn't recovered since.
