Not sure if anyone noticed but Dr. Strange 2 in Imax was randomly changed to 3D to the majority of AMC theaters, as I walked
in I was actually surprised they did this. With Avatar 2 coming out in the Fall I could see 3d coming back for a tiny bit.

I don't remember them ever being gone in the threatres though. There was always a 3D option for movies for as long as I can remember. I would never do it though since it's a waste of money.

I think for the last 10 years or so most movies had a 3D option. I think a lot of people watched Infinity war and Endgame on 3d too
I went to the movies in 2016 to watch Star Strek Beyond and it was on 3D
It's not seen as revolutionary like in the late 00s/early 10s 80s/50s anymore, but it's still around

I think there is room to make to continually improve it and make better and more immersive so it's good that it is still around.

You will get back in the mood by seeing Top Gun 2 or Jurassic, been going back pretty freq since No way Home, but those movies scripts will obv not be as good as Avatar ( not that the OG was the best lol)
