I think Microsoft is still really invested in the Xbox so I don't think they'll die off. Xbox is very far behind PS5 and the Switch but still have a big enough marketshare to not end up completely losing steam. Xbox is also acquiring a lot of franchises so I think Microsoft is really serious about their Xbox brand.

If anything, I think Microsoft wants to expand their presence in gaming this decade. I have a feeling they're planning something big.

The Game Pass that they implemented is really popular as you can play Xbox games on phones, tablets and other devices. But recently, Microsoft has been getting lots of justifiable flack recently due to their Xbox Live service having a massive outage that disabled single-player and multi-player games for a short while. And this wasn't even the first time this happened, when Microsoft made a similarly stupid decision to only let the Xbox One be playable online and not OFFLINE back in 2013.
So, honestly, if they keep doing BS like this, people just won't trust them and will probably leave in droves.

Nope
The PS3 bombed harder than the xbob ass series is bombing right now, but eventually it recovered (and overtook the xbobx whatever)
I am not saying the cbox is going to overtake the ps5 in the future, but I can see it recovering
