You've most likely seen it before: that very cleancut, minimalistic, ultra-modernist building style. What's your honest opinion on it?

I like it, it is the first big architectural movement since the 70s

What's your honest opinion on it? this wave started around 2015 and I don't like it at all, it makes the locations look cheap. Sometimes it can make a former location look better but for the most part it just looks homogeneous.

It's like a toned down version of brutalist architecture

It's like a toned down version of brutalist architecture ALways hated it, utilitarian feel of it, and the Neo new Brutalism we see now looks just as bad. Not going to age well at all. In the 80s people were tired of it and deemed it "ugly" which is why we started seeing shapes and neon incorporated into malls /movie theaters, a reaction to the uglyness of the mustard 70s and cold/icy feel of Brutalism. It just so happened that pop culture with music and fashion was moving this way as well so it was complete fit.

It gets its bad rap mostly from the commies that built it everywhere in Russia and Eastern Europe, as well as legitimately ugly buildings like the Boston City Hall, which looks like this upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/f/f3/Boston_City_Hall_exterior_02.jpg

My opinion is that everyone has gotten lazy. Buildings look boring now, design looks boring. It's because people got lazy and don't want to make things look nice anymore.
