With a question mark at the end, because I'm not sure, but I've read up on the studio, a fairly new studio incorporated in 1997. They didn't really gain prominence until the mid 2000s, when they were responsible for the infamous torture porn trend of horror films thanks to Saw and Hostel. And they'd only continue to gain prominence, but I'd say their greatest success came in the early 2010s. There were two defining franchises of the era that Lionsgate released. The first was Twilight. Released in 2008, it was a smash hit among teenage girls, and became the butt of jokes amongst everyone else. The franchise was EVERYWHERE from 2008 to 2012. The second was The Hunger Games. The first film released in 2012 to strong positive reception (very much unlike Twilight), and was a huge hit at the box office. The movies would prove to be very popular from 2012 to 2015. In 2014, they distributed Divergent, another teen dystopian film based off a book. They did have some prominence later in the 2010s, including distributing movies like La La Land, which was very popular in 2016, and helped lead a revival of musicals. But ultimately, I do think the studio was perhaps the most influential in defining the film zeitgeist of the early 2010s. Obviously, studios like Disney played their part as well with Marvel movies really taking off (albeit nowhere near as prominent as the mid-2010s onward), but as far as movies that had an impact on pop culture in that time, it seems this was Lionsgate's prime.

Kind of like Dimension is the film company of the 90s

Kind of like Dimension is the film company of the 90s Dimension is more the quintessential film company of the late 90s/early 00s. Early 90s I would have to say Carolco.
