I thought it would be worth creating a thread based on the PS2.  Did/Do you own a PS2? If so, what type of PS2 did you own and what were your favourite games on the console?
I received my PS2 as a Christmas present back in 2003. As a result, I own the "bulky" model, because the Slimline models weren't available at the time. My favourite games on the console were "Hulk" (the video game based on the 2003 movie), Midnight Club II and Rugby League 2.

I bought the “fat” model in January 2001 (there were no other models available as it had just released only months prior) with some of the Christmas money I received weeks earlier. Still own it to this day but haven’t used it in years (basically just a collection item now!). My favourite games; Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex (loved the game but the extremely long loading times were a pain though), Midnight Club, Gran Turismo, Need For Speed, Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell and the Grand Theft Auto series.

Not the slim one. It belonged to my son. It was handy that some of the PsOne games worked on the PS2.

I didn't get one until I was 12, but before that I used to have sleepovers my friend's house to stay up late and play some Shrek fighting game(can't remember the title) and Final Fantasy X. Those were the days...

I received a PS2 Slim Console as a Christmas Present in 2005 (I was 9 years old). Although my brother had his PS2 (bulky build) since 2003 as a Birthday present and we've shared it every now and then. My favourite games on the console was: GTA Vice City GTA San Andreas (original banned version) The Simpsons Hit and Run Gran Turismo 3 & 4 Crash Twinsanity Midnight Club 3: Dub Edition Crash Nitro Kart Wallace & Gromit: The Curse Of The Were-Rabbit

I had (and still have) a PS2 slim. It was mostly my brothers and he was into Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts stuff, though he did have Sonic Heroes, which sucks. I honestly don't have enough games to choose a favorite, though I did like the Megaman X Collection, but that's just a compilation of the Megaman X games that were on SNES and PS1.
The PS2 wasn't really my favorite, but it's worth having nonetheless.

I sold mine to a friend four years ago, but do have good memories of fun games! I would play the PoP series on it quite a bit and Rise of the Kasai.
