Much as I love the 2000s and early 2010s, I have to admit, they are rather trashy eras. But which era is the trashiest of them all?
Early 2000s: Limp Bizkit, Jackass, CKY, Eminem, nu metal/rap rock, American Pie
Mid 2000s: McBling, Paris Hilton, bedazzled cellphones, The Simple Life, crunk
Late 2000s: Souija Boy, ringtone rap, scene culture, crunkcore
Early 2010s: Justin Bieber, Rebecca Black, Jersey Shore, Grown Ups, Jack & Jill

mid 2000s then early 2000s 2007 was pretty trashy too. Souija Boy, ringtone rap, and the Britney Spears meltdown (and the media coverage of it) defined the year.

I guess I mean trashy more in a generally “lowbrow” kind of way. Reality shows, celebrity culture, sex, dick and fart jokes, swearing, no deep meaning or themes, lots of screaming, apolitical.
That kind of thing.

That kind of thing. 2001-2006 had all of that and more, 2007 had some of it but it was mostly in the former years
