2004 is almost a near perfect score for the 2000s, however what could make the year better ?

Nothing. It’s probably my favorite year of all time. for me maybe getting rid of the legacy 90s shows earlier, friends etc the first half could have felt better tbh

Less materialism and shallowness and celebrity obsession would have made it better. But hey, that's what defines the mid 2000s so you can't really change that. Even though it wasn't as good as the early '00s, the mid '00s (like 2004) was still a really good kick ass era.
The music in 2004 was a mixed bag. Some good classics came out that year. But also some very bad forgetful songs also released that year.
