that Summer had almost 0 movies aside from Tokyo Drift. Could Transformers had saved it ?

Perhaps, but it would take more than just that in my opinion to make it a better summer for movies.
Also had it come out, we would’ve transitioned into the late 00s era of movies earlier.

If 2006 had less corny things like Hannah Montana and High School Musical, it would not be a bad year. If things continued on from 2005 and didn't get all wussified then it would still be a solid era. But everything changed that year and things started to get more high tech, more people stayed indoors to play video games and socializing less. Music started sucking too with all faster bland music. And movies really sucked obviously. Everything went downhill starting in 2006, I would even say you noticed this as early as late 2005. But I will say 2006 for simplicity sake.
