The year that had the strongest presence of rock music in pop culture, and the most big rock songs? For me, based off my research, it would have to be 2003. That year had a lot of prominence of genres like nu metal, post-grunge, pop punk, and garage rock revival.

I think the whole time frame between teen pop’s decline and the rise of glam rap/crunk was the most rock-oriented era of the 2000s.

I am ok with 2003, Rock was firing on all cylinders then, it didn't get watered down yet by Emo ( and yes as much as I love it it did water down rock lol) because it led to Disney Channel rebranding their artists with rock sound

It’s not like, say, 1986-1990, where rock was dominated by hair metal, or 1993, where rock was dominated by grunge.
