2000 - 1/10
2001 - 9/10
2002 - 10/10
2003 - 3/10
2004 - 9/10
2005 - 10/10
2006 - 9/10
2007 - 4/10
2008 - 8/10
2009 - 6/10

2007 and 2008 are my favorites, because of early YouTube culture from back then. 2006 was great too but a bit underdeveloped compared to what we saw in 2007-2008. I can’t rank one above the other. I also really like the aesthetics and games from back then. Perfect tech balance too. Smartphones were just starting to become a thing but hadn’t taken over everything yet. MySpace was still big.
Least favorite year would be probably be 2009. Having to constantly hear about swine flu, Michael Jackson’s death, and the recession is one thing. Having rock music decline, Facebook take over, YouTube become more corporate, CN Real, Nickelodeon’s logo change, that POS FarmVille popularizing microtransactions, cringy scene fashion and music all in the same year is another.
