Actually, I agree with people saying 2010 was a unique year for music. Even if it was part of the electropop era, synths were very buzzy and highpitched but not EDM-y with booming drops yet unlike the next few years or R&B-y like in the previous years. It's very comparable to how 1991 was part of new jack swing era, yet a lot of songs had very hard drums without being gated.
One of the major songs that made me realize this is this one in particular which screams 2010:
Any other examples you know of?

Dang, was about to post Like a G6. Everything about that from the music video to the sound itself just screams “2010”. Like you can tell it’s starting to become more EDM-ish but not quite just yet.

Country was in a unique place where it was losing its traditional twang in favor of a more intentional/aesthetic version. With new mainstream rock fading out you had a fresh audience for country, while also deepening the pop country crossover genre. (this was late 09 but a huge hit into the first few months of 2010)
