Inspired by mc98's thread, what do you think the purest 2000s school year with the least in common with the 90s and 10s is? For me personally, it is definitely 2005-2006. That year was defined by websites like Newgrounds, MySpace, eBaumsWorld and YTMND in their prime, Windows XP on every computer, grainy old YouTube videos, emo, ringtone rap, McBling rap, flip phones, Motorola Razr, T-Mobile Sidekick, Crazy Frog, I could go on.

2005-2006 because there seems to be no traces of late 90s or early 10s influences.

To be fair, I don’t think 2004-2005 had any late 90s influence either. 2003-2004 was really the last school year of any substantial (late) 90s influence due to shows like Friends, Frasier, Rugrats, Hey Arnold, SNICK all still being on, Cartoon Network still having their old logo, and dial-up being the norm for internet connections. 2006-2007 is where you start running into things like the iPhone, Facebook, early Electropop (thanks Justin Timberlake), and Netflix streaming, which would of course define the 2010s.
