In the late 90s and ESPECIALLY early 00s, frosted tips were very popular among the youth. What's fascinating to me about this trend is that this was a rare example of a trend popular among multiple subcultures and groups of people. You saw teen pop fans with it, nu metal fans with it, and pop punk fans with it. That's like, the three main subcultures of the early 2000s.
