This is what really happened, enough of this revisionist history on the internet. Imac g3 ( from 1998 to 2001 they were given to free to schools by Apple to get kids hooked on apple)These were pretty fast for the time, the extra DVD feature added later in 1999 felt very futuristic Imac G4 ( January 2002 - Summer 2004 )I had this computer for my kitchen and got it alongside my new Dell with Windows XP. Aesthetic wise this computer was awesome,it ran photoshop way faster than PC computers...however.... Some sites ran like shit. Tons of plug in problems. Example sites like YahooLaunch music would require to download a flash plug in and even then sometimes it would not work. OS X was such a cool operating system at the time, I loved using this. It was a big deal when it launched.imac G5 ( August 2004 - March 2006 )What a piece of shit LOL, The fan would always break and it was running on Power PC chips whichmade it VERY dated in 2004 and 2005. Websites ran like shit, the whole computer blew up and caught onfire. Dell desktops with photoshop ran circles around this. The only thing this could do better was Logic and garageband.Around 06 they released a revised version with a INTEL chip and while the INTEL chip was on par with PCs of the timeit was too little too late.Imac intel ( 2007- 2009)Leaps and bounds better than the other imac systems, had INTEL, and Apple were finally leadingthe way. This design was used all the way into 2020 ( with faster internals) if you can believe that !
Ipod 2001
No one had this when it came out, no one lol, but it looked cool.
