Which School year was the bigger shift?
I am going with 2013-2014 school year. Most of the discussed changes in 2013 were fully realised and also much more noticeable in this school year. Like the 8th gen consoles came out in the last two months of the year but basically no one had it and there weren't many games for it. We saw 8th gen starting to replace 7th gen first half of 2014. Same goes for other things like Electropop. You still had plenty early-mid 2013 but there were few left late 2013 and it was virtually non existant in the first half of 2014.

2013-2014
Early 2013 was still a lot of electropop and a lot of rap was still that 2010-2012 era Early Trap style. And Skeuo was still the main design.
PS4 and Xbox One came out in Late 2013 and flat design really took off. GTA 5 came out. Rap transitioned into the DJ Mustard style that defines 2014-2015 rap. Electropop is mostly gone and replaced by EDM.

Anyone who puts 2012 is completely delusional. There was no shift that year. The shift started in Q1 2013, NOT 2012
Why are we measuring this in school years anyway? That's just silly. The shift happened 2013, everyone knows that.
