No man wanted to admit it back then, but enough time has passed where it's safe to say that these guys were very talented.

The only reason they were disliked is because it's a cheesy boy band which appeals towards girls in their teens and early 20s. They are much more talented than most musicians in the 10s and 20s. There were standards back then.

People just hate anything that is aimed towards little girls, you don't see stuff aimed at little boys getting the same shit

People just hate anything that is aimed towards little girls, you don't see stuff aimed at little boys getting the same shit Stuff aimed toward teen boys does get made fun of but for VERY different reasons. Usually it’s because stuff aimed towards teen boys tends to be really edgy and obnoxious, like Shadow the Hedgehog and nu metal bands. Teen girl stuff is generally perceived the opposite way: saccharine, soft, and happy, vs aggressive, edgy, and angsty.
