I remember this time frame very distinctly. This felt like the peak of late 2010s culture. Fortnite blew up in popularity and was being streamed by celebrities like Drake. Ninja blew up and became the biggest Twitch streamer on the platform. VRChat was also a trendy game back then. Ugandan Knuckles memes were very popular, as was Steamed Hams. The Parkland shooting happened during this time, and you saw the March for Our Lives movement. Lots of people hated the NRA and wanted to repeal the 2nd amendment. I remember at my school (I believe exactly a month after the shooting passed), we literally had an event where we released balloons as a representation of all the kids that died that day. Couple this with the emo rap movement that was huge back then (it arguably peaked then, as XXXTentacion had his biggest hit then), and it gave this period a very dark vibe. Black Panther came out and was a very big movie. Everyone talked about it and Wakanda back then. Jake and Logan Paul were still very popular back then, and everyone was mad at Logan Paul for the suicide forest video. He released an apology video which then became one of the most disliked videos on YouTube lmao. Overall as dark of a period in society and pop culture as it was, I also feel a weird sense of nostalgia towards it. This truly felt like the last time I was really into youth culture before I became disassociated with it during the 2018-2019 school year. The late 2010s were almost just as tense as the early 2020s today

Tik Tok in late 2018 was the first sign of early '20s culture.

ngl, early 2018 felt kind of transitional with mumble rap dominating everything, fortnite/PUGB blowing up and avengers infinity war.

All things that defined late 2010s culture, hence it being the peak. Personally speaking, I think Black Panther is the definitive late 2010s movie, but Avengers Infinity War and Endgame are also very late 10s.

Yeah what I meant is transitional from Late 10s part 1 to Late 10s part 2.
