The whole aesthetic of the movie, plus the fact The Chainsmokers did the soundtrack for it makes it feel like something that would come out in 2016 or 2017 rather than 2020. It kinda reminds me of "Call Me By Your Name", which is from 2017.

I feel the same way about Scream 5. Has the same self aware type humor that was everywhere in the 2010s.

It's not like painfully dated but it doesn't feel far removed from the John Green mid 10's style.
