Which era had the softest, slowest music, and which had the heaviest music? For the record, it's not necessarily just about rock, it's also EDM.
My takes based off the eras I've seen would be
Soft: Early 1980s, Late 1990s, Mid 2010s
Heavy: Late 1980s, Early 1990s, Early 2000s, Early 2010s
Mixture: Mid 1980s, Mid 1990s, Mid 2000s, Late 2010s
