Most people are anti-vax, anti-mask, anti-woke and conservative views seem to be more common over liberal views. And although Biden; a democrat is president, his ratings are abysmal and despite that laws are being passed which undo abortion.
I think it started noticeably leaning conservative around 2018/2019 but it's starting to become blatant now that the liberal era of the 2010s is over.

I would say transitional, 2020 was mostly liberal, 2021 was a turning point and 2022 is more conservative.
Me personally, I definitely wouldn't consider myself on the left anymore (I'm not exactly on the right either). After what has happened in the past few years the corruption & hypocrisy of the left has become very obvious. Somethings that really turned my nose against the left was the Kyle Rittenhouse case (he was clearly innocent if you watched the trial), the BLM protests (essentially pointless violence that achieved nothing), cancel culture, Youtube getting rid of their dislike button (just search up the reason), calling anything that doesn't follow mainstream narrative a conspiracy theory (despite clear evidence behind many of them), Justin Trudeau (I can't stand him), the unfair treatment Trump got in the media compared to Biden (I don't even support Trump btw), the medias clear bias towards the left too and many many more reasons.
One thing that has people turning, is the economy recently. This isn't really the lefts fault IMO but, having this happen when the west has mostly left wing parties elected in, isn't a good look to the average person.

I feel like the late 10s was more transitional to conservatism but the early 20s made some people change their political affiliation because of things like lockdowns and vaccine mandates.

maybe it’s where i live but outside of a few examples i don’t see much of the conservative you’re talking about in real life or online. most ppl definitely aren’t anti mask or anti-vax (at least in the US) considering over half the country is vaccinated

I don't think the liberal era is over quite yet. Mainstream subs on Reddit and sources of entertainment in general still mostly lean that way, and a lot of the over the top stuff is still going on in many circles. But the far end is becoming campy and is gaining backlash among those who might not have otherwise considered themselves conservative. The pendulum may swing, quickly. I do worry that much has been pushed too far and that the backlash could potentially cancel out what many of us consider progress. Some are saying this already lead to the win for pro-lifers but more than just in policy, it's likely we'll be seeing this reflected in attitudes. People's tolerance is wearing thin and I think it would be smart at this time to shift the focus on what's actually important versus somebody's utopia/martyrdom/wet dream.

On youtube comments section where you'll find normies(which represent the average person more than say reddit or 4chan) most of them are right wing or even alt right rather than liberal nowadays. Offline, more people tend to express conservative reactionary views more than liberal views especially in private settings. Most of the people who got vacced only did it for their own convenience but they are against it and wouldn't get it if they weren't coerced into it by the state. Even Jordan Peterson got the vax which speaks measures.

Reddit is a left wing dominated website so that's to be expected. In online discourse generally people lean right wing.

I think normal people who don't comment in the internet are typically centrists. Plus, Youtube comments are trash anyways.
