60s music I think is a lot better than music from before. The 60s pretty much defined albums, stereo sound, and multi-track recording as we know it.

60s music I think is a lot better than music from before. The 60s pretty much defined albums, stereo sound, and multi-track recording as we know it. It's mildly interesting but i much prefer the 70s through 00s music. It's good to have on in the background to relax but just lacks punch.

Not really "preferred", more like currently obsessing over and going back to.
1/ 2000s & 90s (second half) 2/ 2010s (first half) 3/ 60s 4/ 90s (first half) 5/ 70s 6/ 2010s (second half) 7/ 80s
8/ 2020s 9/ 40s & 30s 10/ 50s
The 30s are underrated for music and one of my favorite songs, the original Billy Holiday rendition of "Strange Fruit", comes from that era. 20s music and older aren't really worth ranking, the quality of those records has decayed too much since and a lot of it was re-recorded with the HiFi revolution in the 50s anyway.
