You know how I am able to call things before they occur, yeah this is one of them, can't quite put my finger on it but this will be a date we will be discussing in the future. Like with any era things aren't exactly clear until time passes.
Also keep in mind we are getting dangerously close to the mid 2020s starting in April 2023.

I personally think that the Spring 2022 kicked off another phase of the Early 2020s. With the situation going on between Russia/Ukraine, The Inflation/Gas Prices getting out of control, Monkeypox etc... We can both agree that Mid 2022 feels a bit different from Early-Mid 2021.

It's so hard to to describe lol The best way I can put it is take the brain dead hollow feeling of early 2001 and add in some panic and hysteria. Early 2021 def had this dentist waiting room feeling if that makes sense. Very few years fit this description.

January/February 2021 felt like an extension of 2020 TBCH. Most of us still didn’t have vaccines yet, and there were still many signs that said “stay six feet apart”. March is when things finally started to change.

It still hasn't ended, but at least life has largely returned to normal.

Well, I'm not so sure about June/July 2022 since it already felt like the early 2020s and not anything else imo.
I also agree with y2kbaby that the War in Ukraine, and the continuation of the Biden presidency (high inflation, Al-Qaeda leader's death, etc) this year further pushed us into the early 2020s identity.

Idk, I'd describe 2022 as a limbo year so far
Feels different from 2020-2021 but not too different

Come on guys, 2022 is classic early 2020s still. It's literally "2020 too"... We're still in a global pandemic, retro pop is still on the radio, sound cloud rap is still big. This is completely early 2020s still.
