So all of you know I was in 8th grade during this school year ( I have defended countless times how Y2K was pretty much gone from music and commercials by Summer 01) however since pretty much everyone agrees the 01-02 school year is not part of the y2k era yet having small minute connections I am calling this era the Post Y2K era. A sub era have you. This is the name for the era.

I feel like 2002-2003 school year should be part of this as well, as it wasn't core 2000s just yet. All traces of Y2K were gone by 2003-2004 though.

Also have to add about this post https://www.reddit.com/r/generationology/comments/klix75/people_have_stupid_misconceptions_of_the_y2k_era/Apparently the user who posted it was mad at me cutting of Y2K at Summer 01, most likely that poster was not old enough during that time because, on the charts Teen Pop songs were falling off and the only really big teen pop song in 02 was Girlfriend by Nelly ( oh and poster who posted on reddit) failed to mention that it needed NELLY because the labels were nervous of it falling off without a rapper because teen pop was seen as yesterdays news. I was literally in a New Jersey middle school during this time so LOL @ whoever wrote that post.

We can extend it to that, The only thing is by 03/04 you really had like what 3% y2k traces ? "Hardly made a dent. I do get Radio Disney was afraid and kept playing Who let the dogs out ( a song from 2000) until 2003 lol

By this point, we had entered the core 2000s McBling era.
