When you think about it, the 70s started in a politically charged and abrasive climate, the economy got worse as the decade went on, new technology innovations exploded in the second half (personal computers, video games), and ended with charts invaded by dance music.
The 2010s started with charts invaded by dance music, new technology exploded in the first half (smartphones, tablets), the economy got better as the decade went on and ended in a politically charged and abrasive climate.
