* The nominations for "Most Hilarious Member" were extremely close. longaotian and rainbow won by just three votes each! * For the "What country are you from?" question, Australia won by just one vote. The United States had 5 votes, while New Zealand, Ireland and Romania (  ) had one vote each.

Wow, I didn't realize I was such a non presence here. Maybe it's because I only joined in November? Whatever, nobody ever chooses me for these types of surveys, anyways.

Please don't take the results personally #Infinity. I value your contributions to the site, as does everyone else. Surveys are never truly an accurate reflection of the site anyway. Not everyone voted in the 2017 Popedia Awards. In fact, I received about 14 responses to the questionnaire. Popedia has 46 members, so that means that over half of the members didn't take part in the event.

Popedia has 46 members, so that means that over half of the members didn't take part in the event. Well, most of the 46 members here likely aren't regularly active anyway. That's customary of every forum. I visit sites like this because I feel my assets are mostly useless and insignificant to a modern generation with such a clashing style and way of life. It sure flatters me to know I bring little to nothing of any value here, that I'm neither entertaining, nor interesting.

Please don't say that, it's not only SharksFan99 that likes reading your posts as I always find you contributions very interesting, especially your knowledge of such a wide range of music going so far back. I would more often join in these discussions you have with SharksFan99 it's just that I don't know as much as you guys about music or pop culture and would come across as dumb. Also, this forum is still quite new with you having joined last month so that migh not help but I sure value your Contributions here.

I read your posts and enjoy your input. I feel out of place sometimes because I'm older than most people here, one or two are older only that I know of but majority if not all of the best forums are best due to an even spread. There is approx 15-20 regular members on this forum and if you look, only 4 of them actually got mentioned in the votes and one of them was the admin who also on most occasions will always be high up on awards like these. As for the awards, SharksFan99 you should feel offended at being voted nerd ahead of Skitty

Ideally, it would be good if the age demographics of Popedia were more evenly spread, but considering that the forum is only 7 months old, it may take a bit more time for it to even out more. In regards to the Popedia Awards, this year's one was a learning experience for me. I now know what needs to be improved on and what type of questions should be added into it. Haha. I'm not offended, because it's the truth! Even when i'm doing something else entirely (such as watching TV, having lunch etc.), I have a habit of just leaving the internet tab open and staying online, even when i'm not actually online. It's just this feeling that I come across as a very boring, confusing, and not-so-interesting person here because a lot of my specific interests seem to go way over most people's heads, if my complete lack of representation in the Popedia Awards poll is any indication. Of course we're all busy and can't get to everything, but I just really get the impression all I say here isn't engaging enough to mandate my continual activity here. You don't come across as boring, confusing or uninteresting at all. I always enjoy reading your contributions to the forum, because you have such a good insight into music/pop culture and it's interesting to read your viewpoints on things. Please don't take it to heart that not everyone always responds to posts you make. It's nothing personal at all. It happens on every forum, to everyone. Sometimes, people simply like to browse the forums and not contribute to points of discussion. However, that doesn't mean they don't find the posts to be interesting and valuable. Also, as I mentioned earlier, the 2017 Popedia Awards weren't a truly accurate reflection of the forum community anyway. For instance, there were just 12 questions in the entire survey, and only 3 of them were based on voting for members. Please don't think the reason why you didn't win a category is because you may come across as boring or uninteresting, because that's not true at all. As @paul mentioned, only three members received the most votes for the categories, and that's only because the "most hilarious member" category was a tie. I'm going to make improvements to the Popedia Awards for next year. If you or anyone else has anything you would like to suggest for the survey, please feel free to let me know. I'm completely open to feedback and suggestions. I'll definitely be adding in more questions to the 2018 Popedia Awards. Twelve questions just wasn't enough and it wasn't fair to only have three categories based on voting for members.
