No, it's not COVID (anymore) Or the Ukrainian war Or tiktok aesthetics Or fashion
It's AI
People like to downplay the shift that is happening right now because of AI. It is, undoubtedly, the biggest tech shift since the internet, or at least since smartphones.
Like, a lot of people think that AI is not "advanced enough" to have any impact in the world. Even though we literally have AI that creates ART now, and don't get me started on ChatGPT... It writes ESSAYS for you. There are also AI models that write songs (though those are still in their development stages), the moment the big music labels get a hold of those it's over for mainstream songwriters like Max Martin.
And this stuff is not evolving in a slow pace, mind you, this stuff was SCIENCE FICTION back in the 2010s, or even back in 2020 and early 2021, and now it's real and extremely advanced. Lot's of people think that it's gonna take 15 or 20 years for AI to have any real real impact in our lives because they underestimate the rapid pace at which it is evolving right now, as we speak. It will probably take only 3 or 5 (give or take) years until AI-content is undistinguishable from human-made content. By then the tech gap between the 2010s and the 2020s will be very clear, and even the early 2020s will seem as a bit dated in comparison.
And yes, I know that I sound like a lunatic lol. But did people downplay the internet back in 1993?
