Just when you thought that going to the movies couldn’t get more expensive, what with $5 boxes of Junior Mints and $6 buckets of stale popcorn, the geniuses at AMC Movie Theatres has come up with another bright idea.

In the next few months, they’ll start charging more for “seats in the center” and less for front-row seats. It will be interesting to see exactly how they plan on policing this in the dark.
