I would go with the 2021-2022 school year due to Olivia Rodrigo becoming popular, the Ukraine invasion, the transition from lockdowns and social distancing, as well as the US withdrawing from Afghanistan. It was the perfect blend of the 2020/21 "pandemic" era and the current "post-covid" era we're now living in.
