2021 just had a foggy liminal vibe to it, especially early 2021. Like the calm after the storm of 2020.
2022 to now feels more a lot more "alive", but the 2021 vibe was rlly interesting.

true, you know that this decade is chaotic cause 2021 can be considered a relatively peaceful year

2021 was a recovery year. Covid protection measures were still a common thing.

yeah i get what you mean. 2021 feels like an extension of and a sequel to 2020. 2022 and 2023 feels more “modern” than 2021 ever did. i guess it’s because we’re approaching the core 2020s now

Funny you say this.... in 2021 I said it felt like a Dentist waiting room or something and the room is all pale grey and white lol

To be honest, I agree. 2021 for me already feels nostalgic for some reason...

Yeah, because following early 2022, we're now in the post-pandemic era. A lot of cultural highlights include the rise of AI, the War in Ukraine, high inflation, big-budget movies going straight to streaming, etc. We are firmly into 2020s culture.

As a person in first-year university, I've been missing my time in high school, especially 12th grade (2021-22 school year). I've also noticed a few changes here and there in pop culture.

In a weird way, to me, 2021 seems more dated than 2020

Not really, 2021 set the foundations for early 2020s trends.

2021 was sort of a unique in that it had its own vibe, but ultimately was a continuation of 2020. 2022 was where the real changes began.
