I noticed this opaque typically pastel packaging trend starting in 2019. It's sort of minimal but not at the same time, I'm assuming intended to be attractive enough to leave out. The aesthetic feels almost anti hipster. Something about it reminds me of an 80's interior design revival trend, even though the packaging itself doesn't resemble that era's products at all. This is the type of 80's look I'm referring to: And this is the early 2020's version: It's seeming like we may continue seeing this odd pale salmon shade of pink for a while, though in clothing I think it has started to go out.

al that brown girl packaging is basically a rip off of BYREDO, they have been around for awhile tho but they blew up around 2018/2019

Yeah this seems to be trickling down from higher end to more common brands. I'll be curious to see how long it takes the former to move away from it.
