We're officially numerically in the mid-2020s since the middle part of any decade falls exactly between May of the XXX3-year and October of the XXX6-year.
What are your hopes and wishes for this section of the decade?

I've been predicting this since before the AI-mania we're going through right now, but the mid 2020s is when AI will really take over everything, I also think it will be a more positive time than the late 10s and early 2020s

I just want the world to return to some sense of stability. Between the Covid-19 pandemic, the invasion of Ukraine, climate change, the rise in H5N1 bird-flu cases etc., it feels like the world is constantly on the brink of total collapse. It just amazes me that I've never truly lived through an era in my lifetime which wasn't turbulent in some way and that's with me being 24.
So I hope the mid 2020s will end up being 'boring', so to speak. That's probably wishful thinking though.

I just know that AI will play a major role within this section of the decade with models such as Midjourney, Stable Diffusion and ChatGPT are popular right now and are the changing the game when it comes to procedural image and text generations. That and AI could potentially be destroying a lot of jobs (automation, script writing, art, etc), which would suck...

We’ve had issues for so many decades that it’s kinda the default now. All of the stuff going on in the world right now is nothing new. The only major difference is that we have the Internet and smartphones that bombard us with news 24/7, which makes it seem like a lot more is going on than in the past. We still had things like the Cold War, AIDS Crisis, Great Recession, etc.
