Grouping ages by decades or nonsensical ranges.

This really pisses me off. As someone who's almost 30, how the heck am I in a different age group than someone who's say 26-29, but in the same age group as someone who's nearly 40?! I honestly cannot stand people who group ages based on decades, and quite frankly think they are unintelligent. What's even worse however, are the low IQ people who group 18-29 as one category of "young adulthood", but people who are barely 30 are grouped with people as old as 45 or even 50! What sense does this make?!
In my opinion 26 and 30 are IN THE SAME AGE GROUP. It makes no sense whatsoever to put them in different categories. What absolutely infuriates me is when people say that "You can do x at 26, but by 30 you're too old". I sincerely hope this is just a small minority of people. Whatever a 26 year old can do, a 30 year old can do too. Again they are APART OF THE SAME AGE GROUP!
