Hey how are you guys? I decided to rejoin this website but it isn't very active anymore. I'm no longer on Reddit or Inthe00s. I hope this place gets more active.

I don't know what happened but this place fell off in 2022, the fact that it doesn't allow guests to post might be a factor. I actually do prefer this site over inthe00s because the takes are better

It was a combination of factors, IMO.
Some of our long-term members (e.g Slowpoke, #Infinity) either left or became inactive around 2022, which meant that there was a general decline in the number of new posts being made. I also feel like the pandemic had an impact on the forum as well. People's priorities and lives changed.
I think Popedia can get back to what it was like a few years ago. Obviously it's a big ask and it won't be easy, but the only way it will happen is if we all try and make new posts on a semi-regular basis. If we can do that (and i'm going to commit to the forum again as well), it may entice more people to return/sign-up.
