Does anyone agree with me on this take? That the 2010s were the most "summery" decade in recent memory? Specially 2014-2017, there was a big push for tropical aesthetics. California also experienced something of a cultural resurgence in the 2010s, think of GTA5, California Gurls, Lana del Rey. In the mid 2010s we had Trop Pop and Tropical House being the most popular genres of pop music... think of Shape of You and "Sorry". I'd say the peak of this summer vibe was summer 2016 in the US I feel like summer break was a bigger event in the 2010s too I tried to add images to exemplify this phenomenon but the image uploading tool is terrible and doesn't work Attachments:

IMO the 2000s had such a better feel and atmosphere than the 2010s.

Good point actually. I always think of summer when I think of the 2010s.
