Music was so good in the early 2020s. So why is it so bad in the mid 2020s?

So far the most solid year in music this decade is 2021. But looking at how terrible 2020 was for music and how much of a nothing year 2022 was, I wouldn't necessarily say the early 2020s were better.
I actually think 2024 is so far building up to be a solid year for the charts, especially compared to how uninteresting 2022 and 2023 were.
