But I could see the CovidTok era being distant. Core 20s not so much. 2022 and after feel somewhat connected to the present. The prevalence of AI mixed with the current election season really firms us into the mid 2020s.

They're long enough ago now that i'm even starting to feel a bit nostalgic for 2012, and I hated my first year of high school.  The early 2010s are definitely dated in a number of ways now. I still wouldn't necessarily call them 'old' or 'retro' just yet, but they are starting to verge on it (which is scary to think about).

Yeah I look back at videos from the early 2010s and it's like an entirely different world. Not quite retro yet but definitely old school. It's weird and it makes me feel old.
